Hon. Edward R. Karazin Jr., a U.S. Army veteran and longtime state Superior Court judge in Connecticut, served as grand marshal of the 2025 Westport Memorial Day parade.

This award is presented each year to an attorney who demonstrates dedication to supporting and advancing the music community through their service. Michael Ende was selected to serve as the president of the National Association for Law Placement (NALP). Ende’s three-year term commenced in April 2025. He has also served as NALP’s vice president for finance (2023–2025), a member of NALP’s board of directors (2020–2022), and as co-chair of NALP’s Future of the Legal Workplace Strategic Advisory Group (2022–2023). Ende is currently the associate dean for career services at William & Mary Law School in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Denise Rubin achieved a victory in trial for a retaliation case brought before the Supreme Court of the State of New York in 2015 after 10 years of litigation. The jury found in favor of plaintiff not only on her retaliation claim, but also her quantum meruit claim and awarded her punitive damages in the amount of $5.8 million.

Dr. Kenneth Sonnenfeld was recognized in the IAM Global Leaders list for 2026.

Joseph D’Alonzo was elected as the sewer commissioner of the Port Washington Water Pollution Control District.

Deneen Donnley was appointed to the board of directors of Piedmont Office Realty Trust Inc., a self-administered and self-managed real estate investment trust, and to the board of Invest Ahead, a nonpartisan forum of more than 90 institutional investors, asset managers, private equity firms, U.S. State Treasurers, national and global corporations and professional services firms, advocacy groups, and individuals representing more than $8 trillion in assets under management who believe that highly competent and well-composed boards are essential to corporate performance and American competitiveness. Donnley also received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 BLSA Ruth Whitehead Whaley event and was named a 2025 recipient of the Pioneering Women in Philanthropy Award by the Fordham Women’s Summit.

Professor Jannace also conducted a training program on virtual assets and money laundering and sanctions compliance for a group of Pacific Island nations. The program was sponsored by the Financial Services Volunteer Corps and the U.S. State Department.

Daniel Ofrey Rose was named in Lawdragon’s annual 500 Leading Litigators in America list.

Stacey J. Rappaport was honored at the Sanctuary for Families’ Zero Tolerance Benefit for her years of service to the organization and its clients. Rappaport has served on the board of Sanctuary for Families for almost nine years and has served as co-chair of the board’s advocacy committee for the past four years.
